New research out today has revealed that beauty trends vary by area, with sales of specific products topping the scales in different cities. Fake tan sales are highest in Liverpool, Edinburgh ladies go the maddest for foundation and those from Cheadle buy the most mascara! Geordies buy the most moisturiser, Mancunians are addicted to nail varnish, ladies from Chelsea in London spend the most on facial serums and Bristol’s finest are the lipstick addicts of the UK! Other places topping the charts include Bluewater in Kent, where sales of facial cleansers are higher than anywhere else, Cardiff, where sales of blusher are 51% than the UK average and Solihull, where sales of lipgloss are 20% higher than the norm! Where are you from and what’s your must have product? x

 

Now the sun seems to be hiding, we’ve decided that the easiest way to bring a little bit into our weekend is with this delightful dress from Urban Outfitters. At this time of year, we find our hair is often lacklustre and dry following months of cold winter days and the drying effects of central heating. So, to treat ours we’ll be making a homemade olive oil hair mask. Simply mix two eggs with five tablespoons of olive oil and apply to your hair, before wrapping in a warm towel for 15 to 20 minutes. Once it’s had time to fully soak in, just shampoo and condition as normal and voila, you’ll have much improved locks and all without having to splash too much cash! x
